You Are Here: Sims 3 >>> About The Game

From what I've seen of the game so far, it looks very exciting. The basic game play seems to be much the same, but there have clearly been a lot of features added, from individual Sim personalities to the  way furniture looks in Sims houses. The only huge difference that I can see is the ability for Sims to roam around the neighbourhood they live in. The create-a-sim also appears to have improved greatly, allowing players to choose a whole range of, for example, shapes and sizes, whereas in the Sims 2, players were restricted to only three body shapes Thin, Pregnant and Fat.

EA Games also say that the different personalities of Sims are now much more obvious, which was becoming the case with the release of the Sims 2 Nightlife where players could chose 'Turn-Ons' and 'Turn-Offs' for their Sims. This appears to be far more advanced in the Sims 3, with the player chosing whether a Sim might be brave or artistic, romantic or paranoid and much more. EA games also claim that the Sims are now "complex individuals with unique personalities".

Whatever you may think of the game, it is sure to create a real storm when it hits the shops next year. Why not share your views on the new game on our forum, or you can email us and, with your permission, we will publish your thoughts here.
